Zenbu House of Mozaru

Zenbu House of Mozaru is located next to Swiss Bell – in Hotel. In the neighborhood, Zenbu House of Mozaru is a brand new restaurant that provides some unusual food isn’t served in other Japanese restaurant. From its name, the Japanese culture can be felt. In addition, the interior of this restaurant also gives the viscous effect of Japanese culture.

Arriving at Zenbu House of Mozaru, its parking lane had been very full since evening. A problem rose when there was no place for us to park because it only could hold fifteen cars. It’s solved when the parking attendant offered a vallet service with five thousand rupiahs charge.

When we entered to the restaurant, there were some empty benches outside which were provided to some customers that hadn’t got a dining table. Unfortunately, we didn’t have to sit there because there were some dining table that were empty.

When we entered the dining room, we were puzzled by choosing the best place to eat. After we spent 5 minutes for searching, we decided to pick a place in front of the cashier table. Our place had some fake / real plants at the behind.

After we were seated by the waitress, she gave 2 menu books, the big one and the small one. The big one had more choice of food like Teppanyaki, Donburi, Ramen, Udon, Omurice, Mozaru, etc. The small one only gave variation of sushi and roll.

We decided to choose 3 menus. Chicken Mozaru with butter rice and dynamite sauce, Salmon Okonomiyaki, and  Karaage – don. For the beverages, we chose ocha tea. For additional information, ocha tea wasn’t stated on the menu book because it’s FREE. So, if you don’t want to spent ± 20k rupiahs for beverage, we suggested you saying directly to the waitress that you want ocha tea.

The food came to our table 15 minutes later. The first food we ate was Chicken Mozaru.

Chicken Mozaru with Butter Rice and Dynamite Sauce

The first impression  of this food was cute because its plate had an bamboo ornament that made it look alike a canoe with balancer. The taste of melted cheese on the butter rice was unbeatable. It was enhanced by its abundant amount so you could satisfy yourself by eating it slowly. Not only the taste of the cheese that will impress you but also the big slices of chicken. Althought their taste were little bit plain, the cheese would gave savory sensations. The butter rice’s taste didn’t differ with any usual rice because the butter didn’t seep enough in the rice.

The second food that came was Salmon Okonomiyaki.

Okonomiyaki - Salmon

For additional information to the newbie who wants to try Japanese food, okonomiyaki is a kind of pizza. Many people said that Okonomiyaki is a japanese pizza which use flour dough as its base instead of bread.
From the picture displayed above, maybe it make us drool now because of the abundant amount of the mayonaise and ketchup sauce. Beside of that, it was sprinkled by katsuoboshi so we think it was perfect. When we sliced for the first time, big salmon fillet peep from the inside. It was like that they wanted to be tasted. After we took it on a spoon, it went to our mouth and tasted very delicious. The viscosity and thickness was suitable in our mouth. Hmm... Unfortunately, it didn’t came first whereas okonomiyaki was an appetizer.

The last menu that came was Karaage – Don.

Karageedon

The fried chicken on the top was big and abundant. Its size wasn’t because of the flour but the big slice of the chicken. The taste was very crunchy and savory so it really satisfied your hungry stomach. It was enhanced by abundant amount of the eggs slices so it will really make your stomach full. Unfortunately, the rice that was used was plain rice. Maybe it would taste better if the rice was butter rice instead of plain rice.

So here it is, the conclusions of Zenbu House of Mozaru :
+ nice place because it has suitable concept that assimilate Japanese culture with Western culture.
+ the menu is complete because it provides many Japanese food.
+ the waiter and waitress were friendly and always gave answers when we asked.
- the parking lane was narrow and it was always full.
- the price of the food was expensive.
